Coming Soon: Donor Perception Report (DPR)

Working well with donors is an important component of community foundation effectiveness. To help those at community foundations understand their performance in this area, CEP is developing a new assessment tool that will ask donors to reflect upon and assess the funders to which they contribute.

The tool will solicit donor feedback in areas such as: the funder’s helpfulness in guiding their donations; ease of the donation process; and the likelihood that donors will increase donations because of their work with the foundation. The DPR will allow those working at community foundations to understand how their performance on these dimensions — and others – compares with that of peer foundations.

With enhanced understanding of their performance as perceived by donors, community foundation leaders and staff can then improve donor services and ultimately increase their impact.

The DPR is under development and will be piloted in 2009.
