CEP and the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) have partnered to help UK grantmakers get feedback from their grantees. ACF members receive a discount on CEP’s Grantee Perception Report.
ACF is the leading membership association for trusts and foundations in the UK with more than 300 members, ranging in size from small and local grantmakers to some of the world's largest foundations. Through its services to members, ACF provides a framework in which trusts and foundations can learn from each other's experience, explore matters of common concern, and achieve good practice in grantmaking. More information is available at www.acf.org.uk/.
CEP and Foundation Source have partnered to make the Grantee Perception Report available to a larger group of private foundations. Foundation Source clients receive a discount on the Grantee Perception Report. Foundation Source is the nation's leading provider of support services for private foundations. Nearly 900 foundations rely upon Foundation Source for their back office, technology, and philanthropic advisory needs. Its mission is to make private foundations available to more people who are interested in philanthropy by reducing cost and complication of foundation administration. More information on Foundation Source is available at www.foundationsource.com.
CEP partnered with Foundation Center in the development of Glasspockets.org, a website that inspires openness and transparency among private foundations. Glasspockets encourages foundations to tell the stories of their successes — and failures — in part by highlighting exemplary efforts of their peers. The site includes essential facts about all 97,000 U.S. foundations, illustrations of philanthropy's impact on the issues that people care about, and information on the ways in which foundations are striving to become more transparent.
Supported by close to 550 foundations, the Foundation Center is a national nonprofit service organization that connects nonprofits and grantmakers to tools they can use and information they can trust. The Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. grantmakers and their grants; issues a wide variety of print, electronic, and online information resources; conducts and publishes research on trends in foundation growth, giving, and practice; and offers an array of educational programs.
CEP works closely with Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO) to promote funder effectiveness. For example, GEO's Premium Members receive a discount on CEP's assessment tools, and GEO co-sponsored CEP's Foundation Governance Project.
GEO is a coalition of more than 2,000 individual members representing 350 grantmaking organizations committed to building strong and effective nonprofit organizations. Understanding that grantmakers are successful only to the extent that their grantees achieve meaningful results, GEO’s mission is to promote strategies and practices that contribute to grantee success. GEO carries out this work through a variety of products and services, including conferences, action learning, services, publications, a resource library, and networking opportunities. More information about GEO is available at www.geofunders.org.
